Structure
Full tagging: headings in a real hierarchy, paragraphs, lists, tables with header cells, figures, links, footnotes and artifacts for decorative content.
Reading order and text
A logical reading order across columns, sidebars and captions. Alternative text for meaningful images. Document language and title set and displayed.
Review and report
Specialist content, reading-order and table review with a screen reader, automated validation, and a delivery report recording the checks, review date and unresolved limitations.
Before and after
Before · untagged PDF
- Heading read as plain text; no way to jump between sections
- Chart image announced as “graphic” with no meaning
- Table read cell by cell without headers
- No language, so names are mispronounced
After · reviewed repair
- Headings H1–H3 in a consistent hierarchy, bookmarks added
- Chart described in a sentence; decorative rules marked as artifacts
- Table header cells with scope; reading order verified with NVDA
- Language en-US, title displayed, PDF/UA identifier and validation run

How each job is fulfilled
Every paid job follows the same published sequence. Nothing is outsourced to an unnamed processor and nothing is “auto-fixed” without a person checking it.
Assess the file
The free check confirms the file is born-digital, English and within 5–50 pages. Anything else goes to manual scoping.
Confirm scope and date
You see one recommended offer with the page count, total price and delivery date before paying. Tell us the required standard and acceptance criteria.
Pay once
Secure card payment through Stripe with an invoice. No subscription and no account.
Repair
A remediator tags the document: structure, reading order, headings, lists, tables, figures, links, language and metadata, preserving your design.
Specialist review
A second person reads the file with a screen reader, checks tables and reading order, then runs automated validation.
Deliver with a report
You get a private link to the repaired PDF and a file-specific report listing the checks, review date and any unresolved limitations. One correction round is included.
Scope, honestly
The pilot service accepts English-language, born-digital reports of 5–50 pages with text, images and simple tables. We quote separately or decline poor scans, complex charts and math, fillable forms, and protected or signed files. We ask for your required standard and acceptance criteria when they matter, preserve your content and design, and get your approval before any visual change.
Every job includes one correction round for defects within the agreed scope. Revisions to the source document are new work. We do not sell unlimited service, and we do not describe a checker score or a remediated file as legal certification.
Remediation questions
What is included in PDF remediation?
Tagging the document structure (headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, figures, links), setting a logical reading order, writing alternative text for meaningful images and marking decorative ones as artifacts, adding table header cells, setting document language and title, adding bookmarks, embedding fonts where needed and running automated validation. A second specialist then reviews content, reading order and tables with a screen reader.
How long does it take?
Each quote shows a delivery date before payment. For eligible reports the target is two business days. Complex jobs get a date after scoping.
Which standard do you remediate to?
By default WCAG 2.1 AA with PDF/UA-1 structure, which also satisfies Section 508. Tell us if you need something else (for example a specific state or client acceptance checklist) and we record it in the report.
Will you change the look of my document?
No. Content and agreed design are preserved. If a visual change is genuinely needed for accessibility (for example a low-contrast caption), we ask you first.
What if I find a problem after delivery?
Every job includes one correction round for defects within the agreed scope, requested from your delivery page. Changes to the source content are new work.
Do you handle batches or ongoing volume?
Yes, by quote, and only when specialist capacity is available. Upload one representative file for a free assessment and mention the batch size in the quote request.
